Lexington Court

Site History, Planning, Tenure, Viewing & other details

Lexington Court sits on the site of two semi-detached houses, and these were demolished in 2006 to make way for new development.”

The area now occupied by Lexington Court is on the junction of Edgwarebury Lane and the A41. The plot was open farmland up until the second world war, around which time houses were constructed along the frontage of Edgwarebury Lane. Historical sources dating back to the late 1600’s document the existence of Edgwarebury Lane as a primary north/south route, and thus it predates by some margin the route of the current A41 (Edgware Way), which runs in an east/west direction and was completed in 1927. Lexington Court sits on the site of two semi-detached houses, and these were demolished in 2006 to make way for new development which was approved in its final configuration in 2010 with construction completed some months later.
